The Snapper were once again on the bite in numbers at most of the reefs this week although the 5.8kg fish that Canadian visitor Mike King (below left) boated would have been one of the standouts. Mike nailed this quality specimen while on a 3/4 day Cougar Too charter to Victor Bailey's Reef on Wednesday.
Snapper Maori Cod

And Maori Cod were another species that had a high profile this week and as you can see by the photo above right, there were a few top weight fish in amongst the catch. Long time Noosa Blue Water Charters customer Cam Reed nailed a few nice Snapper (to 4.2kg) and this 5kg 'Bro' on a full day Cougar Too trip to the Barwon Banks on Thursday.

Below left we have brothers Shawn and Bert Andrews and their fishing buddy Michael Brigham. As you can see, these guys cleaned up on the Snapper at North Reef on Saturday, using Tailor fillets and Slimy Mackerel as their draw card..
Snapper Whiting
And Gillian Mitchell (above right) did well on the Whiting down at the river mouth on Saturday, with her standouts being the two 450gm fish she's pictured with. We didn't get details of her gear but it was live Davo's Prawns that got the result.
