| Of the many outfits that I own, my most versatile and hence most often used is my Daiwa Procaster, Regal Z combo. | |
![]() The Daiwa Regal 'Z' 2000 series reel is a very smooth action four ball bearing reel which is a pleasure to use and maintain. Coming with a spare spool it allows me to fish a variety of conditions and the 'Flat Winding' line retrieve system is absolutely ideal for braided lines. Having gold chrome trim it matches up very well both in looks and balance with the Daiwa Procaster-X 6' 6" two piece spin stick. With cork hand grips and gold reel seat and guide inserts it's a classy looking rod that is light and sensitive yet strong enough to turn the heads of hard fighting freshwater fish such as Bass and Saratoga. It is equally at home casting lures in saltwater estuary systems for Mangrove Jacks, Trevally and Flathead. By using 6lb Fireline, casting light-weight lures is a breeze and with the no-stretch properties of this line, every bump and bite is instantly transmitted to me through the rod. Being comfortable to use all day, I find this outfit the perfect light estuary or freshwater combo for boat and bankside fishing. |
