| Local lads Nicholas
and Curtis Russell were out on Sunshine Beach at 4am (just on daybreak)
this morning and reaped the rewards of an early start when they landed the
500gm Dart and 800gm Tailor they're posing with. The two brothers, who used small Pilchards as their main draw card, were armed with a Shimano/Alvey outfit and a Silstar threadline combo, both loaded with 8lb line. |

| And what about these fish! Peter Allen from Cooran and his son Hayden hit the jackpot in the Woods Bays on Wednesday morning. The duo caught a number of Whiting (Diver and Summer) using live Worms then, putting one of the Diver Whiting to use as a live bait, came up with the thumper 4kg Diamond Trevally Peter's holding in the photo. Young Hayden's 500gm Whiting wasn't to be sneezed at either. Their main outfit was a Silstar Power Tip rod and a Shimano spin reel loaded with 3kg line. |  |
