Although it was a very short week as far as the offshore scene was concerned, it was very much a matter of 'make hay while the sun shines' for all those who could get the time off.
Alison Martin from Sydney (right) was up here on holiday so was more than ready to respond when the weather improved.
Alison spent this morning at North Reef on a half day Cougar One charter and was delighted with the quality 5.5kg 'Knobby' she boated while out there.

And local lad Dan Pertot (right) wasn't put off by the murky waters caused by the recent downpours.
Dan dug out his favourite estuary lure, a Strike Pro 'Bass X' and spent his time methodically working the waters around the Boathouse jetty on Gympie Terrace last Monday night.
His hard work and persistence was rewarded around 10pm when the 1.8kg Mangrove Jack he's pictured with came to the party big time.
Dan was kitted out with a Shimano Catana graphite rod and a Shimano spin reel loaded with 3kg braid and 6kg mono leader.

Last but not least, Ron King from Buderim (below) spent Sunday at North Reef on a Cougar Too charter and came back with a 3kg Snapper and this 3.5kg Estuary Cod. He was armed with a Wilson Live Fibre/Alvey 825C offshore combo.
