Having taken a day off on Wednesday, local yak angler Ian Tagg decided to launch his Swing 'Angler' fishing kayak and paddle troll around Little Hall's Reef to see what was there. Not a bad call, really, as his 4" Mad Mullet deep diving lure wasn't in the water half an hour before this 10.5kg Northern Bluefin Tuna hit it hard. Ian was armed with a Penn rod and a Shimano TSS4 reel loaded with 20lb monofilament line. Northern Bluefin or Longtail Tuna

Brodie Harman from Tewantin was out at Sunshine Reef on Friday giving the Blue Water Dive crew a hand to plot a few new spots.
Left to his own devices on deck he decided to float out a recently caught live Sandy Grinner to see if there was any interest... and, as you can see, there certainly was! After only five minutes Brodie's bait was slammed by the 12kg Jewfish he's posing with. His outfit? A Wilson Live Fibre rod and a Shimano 6500 Baitrunner reel loaded with 20lb line

Jewfish or Mulloway
