The cobia were well spread this week and the 10kg fish that Graeme Payne from Glen Innes (below) is posing with is a good example. Graeme boated this fish at Chardon's Reef on Thursday while on a full day Cougar One charter.

And the snapper just kept biting their heads off. Rohan Bruce (below) was bottom bashing at North Reef on Saturday when his flesh strip bait attracted this 5.3kg specimen. He was armed with a 6-8kg Silstar outfit loaded with 20lb braid.

Double Island Point was worth the journey as far as Trevor Mitchell (below left) was concerned. Trevor joined a full day Cougar One charter that motored out there on Sunday and was certainly pleased with the 7kg red emperor he boated.

Madison Mullen (above right) was fishing from the river bank on Gympie Terrace last Monday when his pilchard bait was taken by the 1kg flathead he's pictured with. He was kitted out with a Jarvis Walker threadline estuary combo.

Woody (below) is a regular on our reports and it's no wonder, considering the quality of the fish he weighs in at Davo's. This time it's with a 7kg bar cheeked trout that he boated at North Reef on Saturday. Woody was well armed with a Shakespeare Ugly Stik and a Penn Senator reel loaded with 30lb line and 50lb trace.

Last but not least, Dick McClymont (below) hit the jackpot at North Reef yesterday morning when his live yakka bait tempted the 12kg cobia he's holding. He was using a Shimano Baitrunner 6500 threadline combo loaded with 30lb braid.
