| The boys from Noosa
Blue Water Charters did well on Wednesday's three quarter day
charter to Arkwright Shoal, getting their clients onto Moses Perch, Sweetlip,
Shiny Mackerel, Mowong, Squire and, as these two photos show, quality Snapper
and Spanish Mackerel. Brisbane angler Bruce Underhay (right) boated the standout Mackerel when this 8.5kg 'Spaniard' monstered his live Yakka bait. His outfit was a Wilson Texalium rod and a Shimano TLD20 reel loaded with 25lb line. And David Groom from hinterland Yandina (below) came up with the top weight Snapper on the day when he boated the 5kg 'Knobby' he's pictured with. He was kitted out with a Wilson Live Fibre rod and an Alvey 825C reel loaded with 30lb Pioneer Flexline. ![]() |
