This is about as 'on location' as it gets. 'Noosa Yak Fishing Club' member Craig 'Hindsight' Hinds (below) 'kayaked' his first offshore keeper on in outer Laguna Bay on Thursday morning, and as the smile indicates, it was an excellent result.
Snapper Trolling a Squid skirted Slimy Mackerel, Craig boated this 4.5kg Snapper not too far out from Granite Bay. He was armed with an 8-12kg Wilson Live Fibre rod and a Shimano Baitrunner 6500 reel loaded with 25lb Platinum line and 55lb trace.

Local angler Bill Earl (right) boated the top weight fish on last Monday's Cougar Too half day charter to Sunshine Reef and at 17.5kg, this Cobia was certainly quality with a capital 'Q'. Bill was kitted out with a Wlison M10 rod and an Alvey 725C reel loaded with 30lb Pioneer Flexline.

And on the same charter, and determined not to be outdone, Darwin visitor Jeff Prince (below) came up with the most colourful specimen, a 4kg Coral Trout. He was armed with a Wilson Live Fibre rod and an Alvey 725C reel loaded with 30lb line.
