The Pearl Perch were well and truly on the bite at Chardon's reef on Wednesday and Brisbane visitor Matt Cuthbert, below left, was another happy angler who got in amongst them. Matt was on a full day Cougar Too charter when these 'Bull Eyes' came on the bite and, at 5kg, boated one of the top weights. He was kitted out with a Wilson/Alvey combo.
Young local Jason Skinner (above right) put a piece of chicken grissle to good use in the Frying Pan yesterday and this 400gm Bream found it just too hard to pass up. Jason was armed with an Alvey junior combo loaded with 6lb line.
