The Snapper were in excellent numbers this week and Double Island Point was one of the standout destinations for the species, as Sydney visitor Susie Hunt (below left) discovered to her delight on Tuesday morning. Susie, armed with a Wilson Live Fibre/Alvey offshore combo, was on a full day Cougar Too charter when she boated this 3.6kg fish
Snapper Maori Cod

And on the same day, Allan Christie (above right) from Goulburn in New South Wales nailed this 4kg Maori Cod while on a half day Cougar One charter to Sunshine 'Wide'. He was armed with a Wilson/Shimano 6500 Baitrunner combo.

There were a few Cobia taken on the closer reefs and local angler Kevin Glossop (right) was one of just a handful of lucky anglers to boat one of these hard fighting fish. Kevin tempted this 11.5kg specimen with a whole Pilchard bait. He was armed with a Penn 330GTi combo loaded with 30lb line.

Ian Tagg (below) weighed in this very nice 1kg Bream after a session out around the National Park headland last Monday lunchtime. Ian was kitted out with an Alvey surf combo loaded with 9lb line. His bait? Frogmouth Pilchard on 3x2/0 hooks.
