| With the school holidays in full swing the young guns were in and out of Davo's all week, weighing in their catch and stocking up on fresh and live baits. Local lad Marcus Nelson (below left) used a Davo's Pilchard to attract the attention of the 2.2kg 'Lizard' he's happily posing with. He was armed with a Silstar threadline combo loaded with 8lb line. | |

| And Brisbane visitor David Dower (above right) was in and out of the shop so many times with his latest catches he almost filled up the memory card on the shop's digital camera. David had a marvelous time targeting Whiting and Bream in the Woods Bays but got his standout on Friday, a 700gm Bream on a lure, at the entrance to the Noosa Waters loch. He was using a Shimano soft plastic rod and a Shimano Sienna reel loaded with 6lb braid. His lure? A Halco Laser 45. | |

Laguna Bay came alive this week with Northern Bluefin Tuna making most
of the fuss. Sunshine Beach angler Darren Johnston (right) was out at
Jew Shoal on Wednesday morning when his live Yakka floater (caught earlier
at Little Hall's Reef) was monstered by the 13.5kg 'Longtail' he's pictured
with. Darren was armed with a Shakespeare Ugly Stik and a SureCatch
Baitrunner reel loaded with 15lb line. |
