North Reef was a good option most of the week as Kerry Taylor (below left), visiting Noosa from Dalby, Queensland, found on Thursday. Kerry was on a half day Cougar Too charter when he boated the very nice 4.7kg Sweetlip he's pictured with. He was kitted out with a Wilson Live Fibre rod and an Alvey 725C reel loaded with 30lb Pioneer Flexline.

And the next day at North Reef, Scott Lanesbury (above right) from Port Macquarie in New South Wales, nailed two quality (3.5kg and 4.5kg) Snapper in quick succession. Scott was on a 3/4 day Cougar Too charter at the time and as you can see, had an absolute ball. His outfit was a Wilson Live Fibre rod, a Shimano Baitrunner 6500 reel and 8kg line.

Local angler Roger Yarrow (below left) saw five Humpback Whales out on Hall's Reef on Wednesday and in between sightings managed to boat this 12kg Cobia. He was using an Alvey offshore combo and a whole Slimy Mackerel bait.

Speaking of Whales... they seemed to be everywhere this week, probably because, well... they were. The mother and calf in the photo (above right) came up to and proceeded to swim around Cougar Too at anchor on North Reef on Friday.
