Trevally have really been on the active list the last couple of months although the 3.85kg specimen that Brisbane lad Kyle McNamara (below right) landed around Munna Point was a recent standout.
Kyle and his buddy Matthew Ross (pictured with a 1.5kg fish) were floating live baits on Saturday when they hit the jackpot. They were armed with Shakespeare Ugly Stiks and Abu 6500C reels loaded with 7kg line.

It's pretty obvious by the following pix that Flathead were in excellent numbers again this week. Brisbane visitor Harry Humphreyes-Reid (below left) landed three 'Lizards (to 1.4kg) on Silver Fox Squidgie soft plastics (and three Whiting on live Worms) down at the river mouth on Wednesday afternoon, more than enough to feed his whole family.

And Gympie lad Hayden Hornsby (above right) was in and out of Davo's with a variety of fish this week but the 1.9kg Flathead he's pictured with was his standout. Hayden attracted the attention of this fish in the Woods Bays on Friday while trolling a Gold Bomber. He was armed with an Abu Baitfeeder combo loaded with 30lb line.

Noosa local Kane Templeton was another angler who did well in the Woods Bays this week when the Trevally were on the bite.

Kane was working the waters from his tinny when his Blue Rattler lure was taken by the 600gm (est) fish he's posing with.

He was armed with a Shimano Catana rod and a Shimano Sienna 2500 reel loaded with 4lb Fireline and 10lb mono trace.

After a quick pic Kane released the fish back into the river.
