Snapper were still very much on the bite around the middle reef belt this week although 'The Coffees' produced the standouts. Melbourne visitors Stacy Pilkadaris and Paul Stokes (below) were on a full day Cougar Too charter that dropped the pick there on Friday. It was a productive session during which the group boated Cobia, Moses Perch, Pearl Perch, Sweetlip, Squire and Snapper with these two likely lads coming up with the top weight 5.5kg and 6kg 'Knobbys'.

Local angler Michael Bulley (right) caught his first ever Jewfish last Tuesday night and at 3.5kg it was a good size 'Soapy'.

Michael was fishing from his boat at the mouth of Lake Cooroibah when his Pilchard bait was taken by this hungry Mulloway.

He was armed with a Jarvis Walker threadline combo loaded with 4kg line.

The Trevally made a bit of a splash around the Tewantin ferry area this week and local angler Sonja Williams (right) was there when they came on the chew on Saturday afternoon.

Sonja was floating out live Prawns at the time and landed these two 1.1kg 'Trevs' in quick succession.

She was kitted out with a Penn Powerspin threadline combo loaded with 8lb line.
