The Noosa Blue Water Charters record for the largest Cobia (29.5kg) was broken last Sunday when Brisbane angler Tony Kokolis, right, boated this 30kg specimen on a Cougar One trip to Chardon's Reef. Tony was kitted out with a Jarvis Walker rod and a Penn 330GTi reel loaded with 30lb line.

And while there were a lot of quality Pearl Perch boated this week, around here they don't come much bigger than the 6kg 'Bull-Eye' that local angler Ray Payne, below, is pictured with. Ray nailed this thumper while out at North Reef on Cougar One last Tuesday. He was armed with a Silstar Crystal Tip rod and an Alvey 825BC-V graphite reel loaded with 30lb Pioneer Flexline.

Ben Little, right, earned himself a free Rio's Prawn lure on Tuesday afternoon when he weighed in this Flathead at Davo's then released it back into the river. Ben tempted this fish with a (you guessed it) Rio's Prawn lure near the entrance to Noosa Waters. He was armed with a Jarvis Walker spin combo loaded with 4kg line.

Kiwi visitors Wendy Garratt and Gerard Murray, above left, were part of a Cougar One group booking that spent a bit of quality time at Sunshine Reef on Saturday. As you can see by the 4kg and 4.5kg Snapper they're posing with, it was well worth the pick drop. Apart from Snapper, the rest of the catch was Squire, Pearl Perch and Northern Bluefin Tuna.
