Flathead have been in almost plague proportions in the lower estuary system lately as this group photo shows. Local kids Jack, Josh, Chey, Seb, Joskie, Ben and Jamie (phew!) got in amongst them in the Woods Bays on Saturday and later left them still biting. They were armed with Shakespeare Ugly Stiks and Baitrunner 3500 reels loaded with 15lb line.

And young Lily Grieve from Brisbane struck it lucky at Munna Point yesterday morning when her Prawn bait was monstered by the 1.2kg 'Lizard' she's happily posing with.

Lily was armed with an Abu rod and a Shimano threadline reel loaded with 8lb line and 20lb leader.

New Zealand visitor Lyndon Tamblyn had a great holiday in Noosa which only got better when he boated this 1.5kg Trevally in Noosa Sound on Saturday.

Lyndon was trolling through there on a Kingfisher Boat Hire half cabin cruiser when his Rapala lure was hit by this quality fish.

His outfit was a Kilwell 4pce Traveller rod and a Shimano Twin Power reel loaded with 3kg line.
